Why I Chose To Follow The Messiah Pt3

The Bible, (Men) calls the Messiah; “The Christ”. John 1:14; 4:25. However, both names means “Anointed One”. The question is (Anointed by whom and for what purpose?) YeHoVaH’ Anointed One was spoken about in ( Isa 61:1/Luk 4;18.)

NOW SEE; Psa 2:2-4 The kings of the earth set themselves, And the rulers take counsel together, Against Yehovah, and against his anointed, saying, Let us break their bonds asunder, And cast away their cords from us. He that sits in the heavens will laugh: The Lord/YHVH will have them in derision. (ASV) (Heb 1:9)

Acts 10:38 even Yeshua of Nazareth, how God anointed him with the Holy Spirit and with power: who went about doing good, and healing all that were oppressed of the devil; for God was with him. (Psa 45:7)

So now we know which “Anointed One” was anointed by YeHoVaH and what was His purpose. This is another reason; “Why I chose to follow the Messiah.”                         But, there is a more compelling reason. You see; I Love Him. In my studies of Him as Jesus, I learned to appreciate all that He/Yeshua has done for me and what is required of me. (Which pales in comparison to what He has done and continues to do for me.)

It starts with the declaration by YeHoVaH thru John 3:16 For God so loved the world, (that’s you and me!) that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever (Again, you and me) believes on him should not perish, but have eternal life.                                      I believe in “Yeshua” and so I have been given a promise of Eternal Life.                         (Note: Christ is Not the Messiah (Mat 1:16/John 4:25) {ASV}) He is only called, “Messias.”

Now, based on the Bible, Yeshua, did many wonderful things on the earth.               (Mat 21:15) But for us today, He did what no man could do to benefit us, not even we ourselves! He walked on the earth, showing us the path and was crucified and died for us. So that we could have a chance at living forever. (Eternal Life).

Many Christian teachers have mistakenly claimed that Yeshua was trying to miss the stake, (begging YHVH to let the “cup of affliction” pass Him) in the Garden of Gethsemane. (Mat 26:36)                                                                                                        (Mat 26:39 And he went a little further, and fell on his face, and prayed, saying, O my Father, if it be possible, let this cup pass from me: nevertheless not as I will, but as thou wilt.

But, what is over looked is Yeshua’s words to His disciples;                                         (Mat 26:38) Then said He unto them, My soul is exceeding sorrowful, even unto death: abide ye here, and watch with me. (His soul not His Spirit or not Him) And notice the end of His prayer. (Nevertheless, not as I will, but as thou wilt.)       Meaning: Not as my flesh/soul wills, but as Your Will be done.                                  Then read His additional comment; (Mark 14:3) Watch and pray, that ye enter not into temptation: the spirit indeed is willing, but the flesh is weak.                      Meaning; (Yeshua’ Spirit is willing, but His flesh is weak) (Mat 26:41) (John 1:14)

Yeshua knew His purpose, and embraced it.                                                                            ( John 18:11) Then said Jesus/Yeshua unto Peter, Put up thy sword into the sheath: the cup which my Father hath given me, shall I not drink it?                                            (Heb 12:2) Looking unto Jesus /Yeshua the author and finisher of our faith; who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is set down at the right hand of the throne of God.

Yeshua, knowingly and willingly endured the shame and the stake for you and me. How can we not Love Him? He provides the path to “Eternal Life” (John 3:15) However, our requirements are substantial. We must Repent, asking His forgiveness for our own transgressions. (Phlp 2:12/Psa 2:11) We must learn His commandments, and do them, and His commands are not grievous (1 John 5:3)

(Mat 5:17) Think not that I am come to destroy the law, or the prophets: I am not come to destroy, but to fulfil. (i. e. to fill to the full) Yeshua came to complete the requirements that the Father commanded us. (Psa 40;7, 8) He did it, so must we all!

Why I Chose To Follow The Messiah, Pt2

What’s In A Name?

Exo 20:7 Thou shalt not take the Name of YeHoVaH thy God in vain; for YeHoVaH will not hold him guiltless that taketh his name in vain (Mat 6:9)

Now some would say ‘YeHoVaH is not my God.” Then I suggest you ask yourself, “Who did you ask to come here?” The choice was made by someone else, but who? Your parents were certainly used, But by whom? (Selah)

And what about this word “vain”? See the Strong definition of vain; Heb: Shav’  (shawv);  Strg #: 7723 Means; to be used as emptiness, in vanity and as a falsehood or lie. Now see these scriptures;

Messiah is named Christ… (I believe that every time “Christ” is named, it is Yeshua the Messiah, who actually is the “Anointed One” responsible for the action!)

Mat 1:16 And Jacob begat Joseph the husband of Mary, of whom was born Yeshua/Jesus, who is called Christ. (Mat 27:17), John 1:41 ;4:25

Yeshua is named Jesus…                                                                                                            Mat 1:21, And she shall bring forth a son, and thou shalt call his name YESHUA/JESUS: for he shall save his people from their sins (Luke 1:31)

The above verses prove that Yeshua is the Messiah, But, men have changed /or called His name, “Jesus” to fit their own agenda! But, YHVH has graciously (evidently) accepted the name. You see the Father Loves us. Even if we are not using His true Name, He knows our heart. (Jer 23:27)

Yeshua was first called “Iesvs” by the Romans (See the 1599 Geneva Bible; New Testament). The Romans and Greeks had no love for the Jews or their Messiah. So, for about two thousand years Catholicism has blinded the eyes of the believer. In fact, the name of “Jesus” was not known until the King James Version of the Bible was published around 1604. (Google it for yourself.)

That is another reason why I chose to follow YeHoVaH’s Anointed One.  Now of course I realize that I maybe off in the spelling and/or the pronouncing of their Names, but in our studies of the Names, the Hebrew and the Greek differ, only for certain reasons; their Agendas.

The Hebrew Old Covenant is believed to be the actual Word of Elohim(God). Therefore, they (The Children of Israel) were supposed to keep His word pure and unadulterated. (Prov 30:5) (But their traditions (laws) got in the way.) (Mat 15:6).

So, the Romans produced their own version of the Old Covenant. It is known as the “Septuagint”, written in Greek in the 3rd Century AD. Authored by 70 Hebrew scholars? “As tradition has it”

The blinding of the eyes of believers, was made law by Emperor Constantine at the Council of Nicea (325 AD) (Google Constantine and the Council) to learn more of his agenda. Such as; the origination of Easter, Christmas, worshipping on Sunday and other such pagan rituals.          NOTE: By 325 AD. Yeshua was long gone.

Now let’s look at some* of what the Bible promises in His Name; Note; I have not found anywhere in scripture; a “Warning” Not to call on His Name.

Exo 20:24b  In every place where I record My name I will come to you, and I will bless you (NKJV) ((Mat 18:20)

Num 6:25-27 So shall they put My Name upon the children of Israel; and I will bless them. (Mat 28:19)

Psalm 99:6 Moses and Aaron among his priests, and Samuel among them that call upon His Name; they called upon YeHoVaH, and he answered them.

Rom 10:13 For whosoever shall call upon The Name of YeHo-Shua shall be saved. (Joel 2:32/Acts 2:21)

Prov 18:10 The name of YeHoVaH is a strong tower; The righteous run to it and are safe. (NKJV) (Psa 9:9/Zec 13:9)

Ps 91:2 I will say of Yehovah, He is my refuge and my fortress; My God, in whom I trust. (ASV) (Psa 18:2)

Isa 45:23 I have sworn by myself, the word is gone out of my mouth in righteousness, and shall not return, That unto me every knee shall bow, every tongue shall swear.  (Phil 2:10)

Psa 118: 26 Blessed be he that cometh in the name of Yehovah: We have blessed you out of the house of Yehovah (ASV) (Mat 23:39)

And these are only a few promises YeHoVaH and YeH-Shua has made to those who Love, Obey and Fear Them/Him. (Deut 10:12, 13 / Psa 34:9)                                                  I believe that the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit are  All One. (John 10:30 / Deut 6:4)

The Name of  the Father is also found as;                                                                YeHoVaH-Yireh My Provider; Gen 22:14;                                                                      YHVH-Rapha ;My Healer  Exo 15:26;                                                                               YHVH-Nissi My Banner; Exo 17:15;                                                                                 YHVH-Shalom My Peace Jud 6:24;                                                                                   YHVH-Tzidkenu My Righteous Jer 23:6;                                                                                  YHVH-Shua My Salvation Isa 12:2

Again, these are just a few of the Al-Mighty’s compound Names. I asked a question “What’s in a Name”? Let’s hope you see the importance. If not, please use this Link for a FREE online course and information:

Why I Chose To Follow The Messiah

Why I Chose to Follow The Messiah

A popular Bible in Christian Churches is the King James Bible. Its full name is The King James Version of the Bible. (KJV) It is a version of God’s Word to His followers’. It is important to the Believer; io know that this is only one version. There are other versions. Therefore we are told to “Search the Scriptures” (John 5:39/ Acts 17:11)

Notice the New Testament was not written, at the time that Yeshua walked the earth. The only Scriptures available were the Scriptures of the Old Covenant. (TaNaK) Another Truth is; if you are being taught something from the New Testament, that you cannot find in the Old Covenant, it may have added! (Deut 4:2; 12) And/or you need to search a different version, or you should move up to a different teaching. A church is a building, not a temple. You are the temple, His Holy Ones (1 Cor 3:16)

After much study and soul searching, it became difficult for me to believe that an angel, sent from God (Gabriel) would name the Messiah to Save the Hebrew people; ( Mat 1:21)  with a pagan name. (Jesus) Most Hebrew first-born sons would be named after their father or a family member, or something special about their birth, or the name of the expected Messiah. God’s Name was known as YeHoVaH (Exo 6:3) Therefore, the name given to Miriam (Mary)  would have been YeHo-Shua. Meaning; YeHoVaH Saves. In short “Yeshua”

Now how did He become known as “The Christ”?  I’ve read the answer to this question many times. But the question was never asked of me; As a Christian, I just accepted that this was His name, See John 1:41He first found his own brother Simon, and said to him, “We have found the Messiah(which is translated, the Christ) I never thought to ask  (Who changed the name of the Messiah to the Christ and why?) Need a couple of proof texts? See;

(John 4:25) The woman said to Him, “I know that Messiah is coming” (who is called Christ). “When He comes, He will tell us all things.” But see what the Holy Scriptures calls him;                                                                                                                                            (Isa 9:6) For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace. (Isa 7:14) And “shall call his name Immanuel.” (In man is God)

In my studies, I also found that the words Jesus Christ are never mentioned in the Old Covenant. But, YeHoVaH has devoted a whole Book to His True name in the Old Covenant. It’s the Book of Joshua! (Jos 1:5,6) And Joshua saved his people, just as Yeshua will save His people. Those who Hear the Father’ Law and Obey them! (Ps 18:44)   YeHoVaH also said to Joshua;

(Jos 1:8) This book of the law shall not depart out of thy mouth; but thou shalt meditate therein day and night, that thou mayest observe to do according to all that is written therein: for then thou shalt make thy way prosperous, and then thou shalt have good success. (Deut 30:10)

“The book of the law” contains His Holy 10 Commandments. YHVH gave His Commandments to Moses and commanded Joshua to keep them for “Good Success”.   If we desire to be successful in our next life, I believe we must learn His Laws and obey them. This life is not all there is!  Next time I will share with you more of what I’ve learned about His Holy Commandments.

You Are Not Your Own

You Are Not Your Own…

 I believe that most Americans are convinced that they are ones who are making their decisions and,  “doing it Their Way.” Here is a few scriptures that might say otherwise; (I did it my way…)  NOTR: We have never had a King to obey.                                                                                                                                                                                      (Ps 24:1) The earth is YeHoVaH, and the fulness thereof; The world, and they that dwell therein.  (ASV) American Standard Version Bible

(1 Cor 10:26} for the earth is  YeHoVaH’s, and the fulness thereof. (ASV)       (John 17:6) “I have manifested Your name to the men whom You have given Me out of the world. They were Yours, You gave them to Me, and they have kept Your word  (NKJV)                (The Father has given Yeshua, men from the world; to be His Disciples. But, He (YHVH) still owns us all.)

So, the question is; Who are we obeying when we make decisions? Are they ours? Truth fully?  As a review, We know that God is Spirit! (John 4:24 / Gen 1:26) God is a Spirit: We are from God; and we that worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth. “If we are obeying Him” (Phil 3:3)

Remember: We are a triune being

[ 1# We live in a body “which is from the earth and was cursed”                                               (Gen 3:17) And unto Adam he said, because thou hast hearkened unto the voice of thy wife, and hast eaten of the tree, of which I commanded thee, saying, Thou shalt not eat of it: cursed is the ground for thy sake; in toil shalt thou eat of it all the days of thy life; (Gen 5:29)

[ 2# We have a soul; which is “our intellect, personality and it makes us who we are”.  Ps 42:1) As the hart pants after the water brooks, So pants my soul for You, O God. (Mat 26:38)

[ 3# and we are spiritsmade in THEIR image and likeness, having domini0n; over all.  Gen 1:26) Then God said, “Let Us make man in Our image, according to Our likeness; let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, over the birds of the air, and over the cattle, over all the earth and over every creeping thing that creeps on the earth.” (Ps 8:6/John 4:24)

Family, please notice Satan, our adversary, really has no power over our decisions. He can only try to influence them by; forcing others to do evil to us, or convincing us to do harm to ourselves, or others.  YeHoVaH has cursed the serpent to the ground “under our feet” (Gen 3:14 / Mat 10:19)

Satan moves in the dust, and our our flesh is dust. (Ps 103:14/1 Cor 15:47). Because Satan has nothing in Yeshua. (John 14:30) Therefore he should have nothing in us. (Eph 2:2/1 Pet 4:3)     This is a clue to our decision making; If we are not bringing Life more abundantly in our decisions, We may be deciding under Satan’s influence!. (John 10:10/Eze 34:4)

Also remember that YeHoVaH is merciful and gracious, Slow to anger, and abounding in mercy. He will not always strive with us, Nor will He keep His anger forever, He has not dealt with us according to our sins, Nor punished us according to our iniquities. For as the heavens are high above the earth, So great is His mercy toward those who fear Him; As far as the east is from the west, So far has He removed our transgressions from us. (Ps 103:8-12/Eph 3:17-19)

So, we are not our own, but if we are His, (YeHoVaH’) and we are keeping His Commandments, knowing His Name, obeying Him, fearing Him and loving Him. Then, whatever He is doing through me, because He owns me. That’s alright with me. How about you?

Finally, my beloved brethren, if you find this word of Truth to be too deep or hard for you.  Remember; these truths are much too important to trust your salvation on.to a lie!   May I suggest that you follow a Teacher of Hebraic Truths… Try this link:

MORE TRUTHS -I Have Learned as A Believer In Messiah

MORE TRUTHS – I Have Learned as A Believer In Messiah

The word “Church” cannot be found in the Old Testament/ Covenant. Nor can you find the word, or term “Testament” in the Old Covenant.  Not in the Old King James or The New King James Version of the Bible. (NKJV).  Why are these words used to describe Hebrew functions? The original Hebrew names for the “Children of Israel” was an (congregation or an assembly) (Exo 12:6, Lev 4:13) .

The New Testament word for church in Greek is “Ekklesia” (G1577). a calling out – i.e. (concretely) a popular meeting place, especially a religious congregation (Jewish synagogue, or Christian community of members on earth or saints in heaven or both):–assembly, church. This is a Greek word to replace the assembly or congregation, in the Hebrew Tanak (Old Covenant.)

(Ps 111:1) Praise ye (the LORD} YHVH. I will praise (the LORD) YHVH with my whole heart, in the assembly of the upright, and in the congregation.        (NKJV)                         (YHVH is short for YeHoVaH. This is the TRUE Name of the Father, Elohim.)

The Truth is ‘According to the New Testament, the earliest Believers did not build church buildings, instead, they gathered in the homes of believers (Acts17:5, 20:20, 1Cor 16:19) or in Hebrew worship places like the Second Temple or a house church called “Dura-Europos church, founded between 233 and 256 AD.” That’s over 200 hundred years after Yeshua walked the earth!

Now why is the correction of this word so important?  Because it is Truth. We who are Believers, have been taught errors for too long. Even we, teachers have been led astray, We taught the people; Not to follow or keep, the Jews Commandments. (Law)

(Mt 5:19) Whosoever therefore shall break one of these least commandments, and shall teach men so, he shall be called the least in the kingdom of heaven: but whosoever shall do and teach them, the same shall be called great in the kingdom of heaven.

(Mt 22:16) And they sent to Him their disciples with the Herodians, saying, “Teacher, we know that You are true, and teach the way of God in truth; nor do You care about anyone, for You do not regard the person of men   (NKJV)

It is now time for us to begin to push back. I am not saying that we were intentionally teaching lies, because that would also make me guilty. But we must all begin somewhere to correct our mistakes.

Many leaders of our denominations have said that we do not need to keep the Old Testament “Jewish” Commandments. This is a Lie. The promises of YHVH was not given to the “Jews” only. the Promise was made to Abraham, that his seed would bless all the Nations of the earth. This also included ‘the son of the bondwoman”;  “Ishmael”. (Gen 21:13)

(Gen 22:18)In your seed all the nations of the earth shall be blessed, because you have obeyed My voice.” (Acts 3:25)

The Jewish people are from the Tribe of Y’hudah. They are only one of the tribes of  “The Children of Israel”. There are eleven other tribes. The reason He blessed Abram, was “because you have obeyed My voice.”  [His voice is His command.]         (Deut 13:18)

Brothers and Sisters, let us not continue to follow the former traditions made to lead us from the Truth! And YeHoVaH’ Words!                                                                                  (2 Kings 17:34) To this day they continue practicing the former rituals; they do not fear the LORD/YHVH, nor do they follow their statutes or their ordinances, or the law and commandment which the LORD/YHVH had commanded the children of Jacob, whom He named Israel, (Gen 32:28)

YHVH has made it possible for us all to be a blessing to our family and each other.

(Exo 20:6) but showing steadfast love to thousands of those who love me and keep my commandments.  (Gal 3:29)  (KJV)

(Gal 3:29) And if you are Christ’s,/the Messiah’s, then you are Abraham’s offspring/seed, heirs according to promise. (Jas 2:5)

(Jas 2:5) Hearken, my beloved brethren, Hath not God chosen the poor of this world rich in faith, and heirs of the kingdom which he hath promised to them that love him? (Exo 20:6)  (KJV)

Finally my beloved brethren, if you find this word of Truth to be too deep or hard for you.  Remember;  these truths are too important to trust your salvation on a lie!   May I suggest that you follow a Teacher of Hebraic Truths… Try this link:

FEAR GOD?

Should we Fear God Almighty? Some would say; You had better fear Him. Others might say; “ Who is God?” Therein is the problem. The Bible says there are many gods.
(1Cor 8:5) For even if there are so-called gods, whether in heaven or on earth (as there are many gods and many lords), (NKJV) (Although Paul did not say this; it was added by the commentators?) But remember God’s first Commandment. To the children of Isreal;

In His first Commandment to us, we were warned “not to have any gods before Him”. (Exo 20:3 / Deut 5:7) (Literally “ Have no gods; in My Face.”) Did not even The Son of God call man gods? (John 10:34, 35 /Ps 82:6) “Is it not written in your law, ‘I said, “You are gods”‘?
Also, the Psalmist David in Ps 8:5 said “Yet thou hast made him (man) little less than God, and dost crown him with glory and honor.” (Amer & Rev S. V.) David is speaking about man. See Ps 8:4 See also (The Scriptures Bible)

NOTE: See (Exo 22:9) “For any kind of trespass, whether it concerns an ox, a donkey, a sheep, or clothing, or for any kind of lost thing which another claims to be his, the cause of both parties shall come before the judges; and whomever the judges condemn shall pay double to his neighbor
The Hebrew Strong’s word (Judges) is #430 this is the word elohim, plural of the Str’g #433 which is eloah. (God) [Here it was written, As Yeshua said in John 10: 34) and Exo 22:9) ( Courtesy of Dr Arthur Bailey’s teaching)

So there are many gods, And, we are gods (small “g”) But we are also dust. See (Ps 103:14) For He knows our frame; He remembers that we are dust. (Gen 2:7) And this dust or clay vessel has no power over it’s Potter or Maker (Rom 9:21)

So I’d like to look at one portion of Psalm 103 for our study. I have changed some of the words for clarity:
Ps 103:6-16 YeHoVaH executeth righteousness and judgment for all that are oppressed. He made known his ways unto Moses, his acts unto the children of Israel. YeHoVaH is merciful and gracious, slow to anger, and plenteous in mercy. He will not always chasten us: neither will he keep his anger for ever. He hath not dealt with us after our sins; nor rewarded us according to our iniquities (Sins). For as the heaven is high above the earth, so great is his mercy toward them that fear Him. As far as the east is from the west, so far hath he removed our transgressions from us. Like as a father pitieth his children, so YeHoVaH pitieth them that fear Him. For he knoweth our frame; he remembers that we are dust.
The Father has provided promises for those who Fear Him! Remember we are His little children.

Ps 103:17, 18 But the mercy of Yeshua is from everlasting to everlasting upon them that fear Him, and His righteousness unto children’s children. To such as keep His covenant, and to those that remember His commandments to do them.
The Son also has promises that He promises; to those who Fear Him and keeps covenant and His commandments; Forever

So What should we learn from these verses of scripture?; that; YeHoVaH has not held anything against us. Yeshua paid the price for the iniquities of the whole world, with His death on the stake. But we all have our own transgressions to atone (Repent) for. Our Master and Saviour, the Messiah; is saying Fear Me and live. Obey Me and live. Keep my commands and you can live from Everlasting to everlasting and your children’s children after you. Praise Yah!!

TRUTHS; AS A BELIEVER IN MESSIAH

Posted on April 13, 2017

TRUTHS;  I Have Found as a Believer in Messiah

This Hebrew word “Messias” appears only twice in the TaNaK. (Old Covenant).     (Heb# 4899) in (Daniel 9:25, 26) The word means “Anointed One” (1 Sam 2:35) There is another, “anointed one” found in the New Covenant.
(John 1:41) He first found his own brother Simon, and said to him, “We have found the Messiah (which is translated, the Christ) ? (Grk# 3323)                                         (John 4:25) The Christ also means “ The anointed one” I wonder who added this to scripture?

VIP Note: All the miracles and stories performed by The Christ, I believe are true; But they were all accomplished by YeHoVaH’s Messiah.

(John 4:25) (Andrew, Simon Peter and the woman at the well, were all looking for The Messiah. (Not a  Christ; The Greeks “Anointed One”).

You see this would make those of us; who worship; Yeshua The Messiah, incorrect. While others in the world are calling upon the name of Jesus, The Christ!  But so did I.

The Hebrew Name of the Father is YeHoVaH (Exo 6:3) Sometimes called (Yah) as in “Hallelu-Yah”. [Note: there is no letter “J” in the Hebrew Alef-Beit] So The Messiah‘ Name is YeHo-Shua (Exo 15:2/Isa 12:2) Which is translated; The Lord is Salvation. [Another Note: “The Lord is a Title, it is Not a Name”.] Any English land owner, could be called a “Land Lord” There is a “Lord of the Vineyard, or Harvest, etc.

.YeHo-Shua is shortened to “Yeshua”. A more direct English translation of His name is “Joshua.” (Heb# 3099) Which also means “YeHoVaH-Saves”, Ask any Hebrew speaking person “What is the meaning of the name of Jesus; in Hebrew, and they will not be able to answer.”

So, I have decided to follow YeHoVaH’s Messiah. I already believe in His miracles and have accepted Him as my Savior. He is the One who died for me: before I knew Him! Unfortunately, most of my associates and family members disagree with my decision But I wonder how many people are willing to take the time to study and prove this life; eternal Salvation.

Can you trust something written two thousand years ago;   without proof? In one of our previous Blogs we wrote about “The Deceiver” as the adversary. (1 Pet 5:8/ Job 2:2) We all need to be able to stand against the wiles of the devil (Eph 6:8/Prov 11:18)

The Narrow Gate

. A STUDY IN SCRIPTURE – The Narrow Gate… (Mat 7:13,14) NKJV

We’re Late this month. Sorry! Personal illness, computer problems, etc. But we’re back…

Mat 7:13 Enter by the narrow gate; for wide is the gate and broad is the way that leads to destruction, and there are many who go in by it

No! This is not a parable; This is Yeshua’ statement of fact. See confirming scriptures in (Luke 13:24 and (Eze 18:27)

Mat 7:14Because narrow is the gate and difficult is the way which leads to life, and there are few who find it”

Luke 13:23 Then one said to Him, “Lord, are there few who are saved?” And He said to them,

Luke 13:24 “Strive to enter through the narrow gate, for many, I say to you, will seek to enter and will not be able.

Eze 18:27 “Again, when a wicked man turns away from the wickedness which he committed, and does what is lawful and right, he preserves himself alive.

This month’s A Study In Scripture” has to do with “Eternal Life”. (Mat 19:16/Jud 1:21)

NOTE; Eternal Life is not spoken of: in the Old Covenant/Testament. Instead, it is in reference to: “Everlasting Life” (Dan 12:2) NKJV (Isa 66:24)

When Yeshua speaks of a “Narrow or Strait Gate”, (NKJV) He is  really talking about Everlasting Life with Him in Paradise. (Luke 23:43/Rev 2:7)

So let’s look at the Hebrew word Narrow. “Tsarar” Strg # H6887, a primitive root; to cramp, literally or figuratively, transitive or intransitive (as follows):–adversary, (be in) afflict(-ion), besiege, bind (up), (be in, bring) distress, enemy, narrower, oppress, pangs, shut up, be in a strait (trouble), vex.

Now why would Yeshua use these words (Narrow/Strait Gate)? Because He is pointing to Eternal Life. Let us let His own words answer this question;

Mat 7:14Because narrow is the gate and difficult is the way which leads to life, and there are few who find it

Luke 13:24Strive to enter through the narrow gate, for many, I say to you, will seek to enter and will not be able.

The Narrow Way is a more restrictive way to Eternal life. In fact, it is a cramped, afflicted, distressful and troubling way of getting in. We will not get there by just saying a prayer and a little sprinkling of water , or even a full submerging! No this was not the way we received our  “Salvation”. When Yeshua was chastised and crucified on a stake; for our transgressions and sins.

IN summation; Entering into the Narrow way is not easy. Yeshua said; “I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.” Now you know the way, Keep His Commandments and follow Him. (Prov 19:16/John 14:15) (John 21:19 to 22)

A Study In Scripture – A Parable

A STUDY IN SCRIPTURE – A PARABLE

Yeshua’/Jesus’s disciples came to Him and asked this question;
Mat 13:10  “Why do You speak to them (The people) in parables?”

Mat 13:11 He answered and said unto them, Because it is given unto you to know the mysteries of the kingdom of heaven, but to them it is not given. (Mat 13:12)

Parable; Grk – parabole, Strg # G3850, which signifies placing beside or together, a comparison, a parable is therefore literally a placing beside, a comparison, a similitude, an illustration of one subject by another.

Mat 13:13 “Therefore I speak to them in parables, because seeing they do not see, and hearing they do not hear, nor do they understand.
Mat 13:14 “And in them the prophecy of Isaiah is fulfilled, which says: ‘Hearing you will hear and shall not understand, And seeing you will see and not perceive;
(Isa 6:9/Mark 4;12/Luke 8:10)

And see also; (Mat 13:19 – 23) Yeshua. explains this parable to His disciples.

Now see the prophecy of Isaiah; quoted by Paul, concerning the Jews at Rome;
Acts 28:26 “saying, ‘Go to this people and say: “Hearing you will hear, and shall not understand; And seeing you will see, and not perceive;
Acts 28:27 For the hearts of this people have grown dull. Their ears are hard of hearing, And their eyes they have closed, Lest they should see with their eyes and hear with their ears, Lest they should understand with their hearts and turn, (Repent) So that I should heal them.“‘ (Isa 6:9-10/John 12:40/Rom 11:8}

Here is a biblical truth; If a teaching is found in the New Covenant, It should also be found in the Old Covenant. This is a second witness. (Deut 17:6/Mat 18;16)

(Isa 6:8) YeHoVaH asks “Who will go for us?” Isaiah said “Here am I, send me.
(Isa 6:9) And He (YHVH) said, “Go, and tell this people: ‘Keep on hearing, but do not understand; Keep on seeing, but do not perceive.’                                                                                                                          (Isa 6:10) “Make the heart of this people dull, And their ears heavy, And shut their eyes; Lest they see with their eyes, And hear with their ears, And understand with their heart, And return and be healed.

Why did YeHoVaH not want them healed? and where did Isaiah find this written in the “Torah”? I’m glad you asked… Below, in Torah, we have Moses, reminding the children of Israel of all that they have seen of YeHoVaH’ “deliverance from Egypt, and great trials and signs and great wonders”. (Ps 103:7)

Deut 29:3 ‘So YHVH brought us out of Egypt with a mighty hand and with an outstretched arm, with great terror and with signs and great wonders. (Rom 9:17)
Deut 29:4 “Yet YHVH has not given you a heart to perceive and eyes to see and ears to hear, to this very day. (Deut 2:30)

To fully understand this truth; we need to see the purpose of Moses’ words to the children of Israel; He had just enumerated the Blessing and the Curses of God’s Covenant (Deut 28:1 – 68) But, now that they knew all these blessing and curses, YHVH would Not give them a heart to understand that which He was doing.

See what YeHoVaH did to Pharaoh;
(Exo 7:13) And Pharaoh’s heart grew hard, and he did not heed them, as YHVH had said. (Exo 4:21)
(Exo 14:4) “Then I will harden Pharaoh’s heart, so that he will pursue them; and I will gain honor over Pharaoh and over all his army, that the Egyptians may know that I am YHVH.” And they did so.

Now back to our subject question; “Why do you speak to the people in Parables? “ I believe that Yeshua knew that many of the children of Israel, would desire to make Him king and keep the knowledge of who He is, to themselves; Yeshua went up; to be alone. (John 6:15)

So YHVH’ plan was, and still is; that Yeshua would be His Sacrifice (Messiah) (Dan 9:26/Zep 1:8) to Save the whole world, not just one Nation! (Jer 31:34 /John 3:16)       Yeshua’ punishment and death would bring Salvation to the whole world; even tho He Did Not Sin! (Ps 8:4/Heb 2:6)

With this in mind; another meaning of Yeshua’ parable may have to do with the name of the parable; “ A sower, sows His seeds”. Could it be that only one forth of the worlds population will be saved? And spend their eternal lives with Yeshua? Those who are “Good Ground for His seed?” Who keep His Commands, who fear and obey Him? (Mat 19;29/Ps 84:11) Could this be why Yeshua said “Enter in by the narrow [or strait] gate”?. (Mat 7:13/Luke 13:24/Deut 5:32)   (See our next “Study in Scripture”).

So the question that each of us should ask ourselves; “Am I Good Ground to receive the Yeshua;” (John 3:15/Isa 45:22) and to know the “Mysteries of the Kingdom of Heaven?” (Mat 13:23/Prov 25:2)

Deut 6:4 “Hear, O Israel: -YeHo-shua our God, YeHoVaH is one!
John 1:1 In the beginning was the Word, (YeHo-shua) and the Word was with God, (YeHoVaH) and the Word was God.
John 1:14 And the Word (YeHo-shua) was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth.

The Ten Commandments, Finale…

The Ten Commandments Finale….

This is the end of our series of God’s, Ten Commandments. But, it is not the conclusion of His Commands. As we stated earlier in this series; YeHoVaH was not finish speaking His Law, to the children of Israel. But they had heard enough. (Exo 20:18, 19) So The AL-Mighty continued to give Moses more of His Commandments of how they were to survive in His Kingdom.

I use the word survive to emphasis the fact that without knowing Him; (His ways, His Name, His Commandments, and the Fear of Him); we are all, destined to fail; in this, His World. (1 Chron 7:22, 23/ Gal 3:1) For we have all sinned (Dan 9:11/Rom 3:23)
(Ps 33:8) Let all the earth fear YHVH; Let all the inhabitants of the world stand in awe of Him.    (Ps 50:12; 89:11)

Ever wonder why some of our prayers do not get answered? Does He not hear us? or know us? (Mat 7:22, 23)Many will say to Me in that day, ‘Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in Your name, cast out demons in Your name , and done many wonders in Your name?’ “And then I will declare to them, ‘I never knew you; depart from Me, you who practice lawlessness!’ (NKJV) (Mat 25:41/Luk 13:27) (Ps 6:8/119:115 )

Notice, they said they did many wonders in His Name, “Lord”… But Yeshua says “I never knew you.” Could it be that the name “Lord” is not His  name? What entity was performing their many wonders? Selah Were they deceived? (Prov 14:25) A true witness delivers souls, But a deceitful witness speaks lies. (2 Cor 11:13) By the way, Lawlessness (iniquity) means to be without Law, or not obeying His Commandments. (Rom 2:12 /Deut 28:14-68) But I digress…

So, what I’d like to conclude with is something that Moses said to the children of Israel. (Exo 20:20) And Moses said to the people, “Do not fear; for God has come to test you, and that His fear may be before you, so that you may not sin.” (Deut 5:29/1 Thess 2:4) Unfortunately, the fathers of Israel, failed a very important test, when they chose not to go into the “Promised Land. A direct disobedience of YeHoVaH’ Commandments (Num 14:11-35) They failed their test, by not believing Him or fearing Him and died, over 40 years, in the wilderness, never reaching their promised land. (Num 14:33, 34/Heb 3:17)

Last month we focused on the word “Test”. This is what we are all going through. which is today our own wilderness. So the question is “How many of us truly Fear Him in this time of testing? Do we really have a fear of the judgments of YeHoVaH?

Most Americans, have never known what it means to live under the rule of a king. Many immigrants have lived under various ruler ships, yet when they get here, they are told that; “this country is a democracy.” which it is not. (Recall the popular vote vs the Electoral College?) So most Americans believe (Although it is not said) “we have no king, but ourselves”. (Hos 10:3/John 10:19) So we fear Government “IRS, etc” but not God!

Now for those of you who “don’t believe in that stuff.” Ask yourself, what other God claims to be the God who created the earth? (Gen 1:1) What other God has given to the world His instruction on how to live in Peace and Love, in His Kingdom? Did the sun rise this morning? Were the any news of people falling off the earth? (Ps 8:3) We serve the God that made the world and all that live, within it; He sent His Son (Himself) to die for the whole world. What other God could do that? YeHoVaH!
(Isa 44:6/Rev 22:13) Thus saith YHVH the King of Israel, and His Redeemer, Yeshua; I am the first, and I am the last; and beside me there is no God.

It is also suggested that we put His Word; first place in hearts; and obey Him;
(Ps 103:17) But the mercy of YHVH is from everlasting to everlasting On those who fear Him, And His righteousness to children’s children
(Ps 103:18) To such as keep His covenant, And to those who remember His commandments to do them.
(Luke 1:50) And His mercy is on those who fear Him From generation to generation
This includes Us in this New Covenant/Testament period. Those who make it thru the millennium Era. (Dan 12:10/Rev 20:6)
(Dan 12:10) “Many shall be purified, made white, and refined, but the wicked shall do wickedly; and none of the wicked shall understand, but the wise shall understand. (Rev 22:15/1 Cor 6:9, 10)

Finale; there are many other scriptures that contain YeHoVaH’ Commandment’s: See the books of (Gen 1:1 to Deut 34: 12) “Torah” Please pay particular attention to (Deut. chapter 28 vss 1 – 68) And the entire Books of Leviticus, Psalms and Proverbs. As you will note; these are all Old Covenant books. These books, I believe, are the closest we can get to the actual translations of the true Words of YeHoVaH.

The words of the prophets, while speaking prophetically, will still line up with the spoken Words of YHVH, in Torah. New Covenant scriptures will also be seen with their truths; “as it is written” in the scripture. I would even suggest; if a New Testament scripture is not found spoken in the Old Covenant, I would question it’s authenticity. Including the words that are supposedly spoken by Yeshua. (Mat 23:3) Therefore whatever they* tell you to observe, that observe and do, but do not do according to their works; for they say, and do not do *Should say “he, Moses” not they. (The scribes and Pharisees)

Final, Finale The Book of Proverbs has 31 chapters, one for each day of the month. To keep His Commands first place in my heart, I read (Loud enough for me to hear it.) A proverb a day to keep the adversary a way. (Prov 4:13) Take firm hold of instruction, do not let go; Keep her, for she is your life (John 6:45)
